Two Green Car-Care Tips That Save Water and Fuel

At Shine Detail we try to do our part for the environment. Here are two simple tips we have shared with customers for years.
1. Hang up the hose
The average driveway car wash uses well over a hundred gallons of water and sends soap, brake dust, and contaminated runoff into storm sewers. Bringing your vehicle to a professional is easier on the water supply and on your paint.
2. Inflation (the good kind)
Keeping your tires at the right pressure improves safety and fuel efficiency and reduces emissions. Check your owner’s manual or the door-jamb placard for the recommended pressure. While you are at it, lighten the load in the trunk to help your MPGs.
